Rampant Ramparts

Weather warming up nicely now and as been nice to get out and about again on our evening walks. Tuesday evening we took Spritz to her obedience classes which we all enjoy and she is coming along fine now. We are nearly ready for our bronze award. Thursday we took a nice country walk through some woods between Fillongley and Meriden just on the outskirts of the city. Was pleasant not the warmest of evenings but sunny and dry. The blue bells are still out so enjoyable to still see them. We walked along country lanes and over fields with views of far away hills and The City of Birmingham in the distant. On our way back we drove down a single track country lane called Harvest Hill Lane which was a little hairy so it was fingers crossed hoping nothing coming the other way. Friday was a lovely day in Coventry warm dry and not a cloud in the sky. I went over to Jons side of the city tonight for a little change and he took me to show me the ramparts not a reference to his Aries horn by the way but.... actually Kenilworth Castle just a couple of miles from Coventry and his house. We had a ramble round the moat in the warm evening sunshine which was very enjoyable. Kenilworth Castle is one of the largest ruins in the country and even in it ruined state is a sight to delight over with its Norman keep, Tudor gardens and John Gaunts Great Hall. Tonight when we passed by there was a living medieval village built inside the grounds which looked very interesting. Nice to be back in England it seems so lush and green after our visit to Spain lots of long green grass for Spritz to jump up and down in, which she loves. Took a drive back by Kenilworth road which is one of the most loveliest roads through Coventry to drive down epecially when the trees are in full bloom. Looks like its going to be a warm summer weekend so will see where it takes us.
