Well after a few weeks away from blogging and a hot few weeks we have finally managed to venture further a field once again. This weekend took us to The Peak District National Park and to the beautiful Dovedale Valley with its meandering river with little weirs along route and peaks rocks and moors above. We took a four mile hike along The River Dove. We had fun crossing the stepping stones over the river and climbing Lovers Leap and cooling off in the many caves along route. We finally ended up tired but not exhausted in the picturesque village of Milldale where we stopped off and bought tea from a quaint cottage shop selling from a counter in its door way. Then we fed our left over sandwiches to the Ducks before heading home after a rather pleasant and rewarding day out.
